The servers are friendly and knowledgable, the food is top notch and the atmosphere is very warm and comfortable. I have read other reviews where people where not happy with the wait, but you get that at every fine dining establishment. When you are eating good food, you dont want to be hurried or rushed. People should expect to wait for fine dining. Here is a tip for those who plan on going to Vidalia, make reservations because they are always busy.

I am a Newtown PA resident, but do some business in Princeton, and decided to host my business meeting at Vidalia. We had no reservation on a Tuesday night and Sal "owner" was able to more than accomidate us. Our table was greeted within a minute by lively staff. Our primary server's name was Jill. Within Minutes Sal came from the Kitchen and also gave us a warm welcome. He suggested that we don't order from the menu and let him take care of our dinner. First he asked if we had any allergies to any foods and then made suggestions of what he would like to prepare for us that evening. We opted to take his suggestions and enjoyed a timeless 3 course family style dinner that left nothing to be desired. We will be back. One thing to remember BRING YOUR OWN WINE. This place makes you feel like you are in ITALY and has caring professional staff. VERY PLEASANT SURPRISE. Let SAL cook for you.

lilipad from ewing, nj said :very cute and intimate place however, the food left much to be desired i had seafood in a light wine sauce and my mom got the regular italian fare of Veal Parmigiana - mine was bearable and hers looked like a red mess on the plate ... the taste didn't blow us away any more than the presentation...average all around
